The HD55S is the gravity-drain choice for a mid-sized basement or crawl space. Connect it to a drain or sump below the unit, set your target humidity, and it can run without a bucket to empty.

Is this the right model?

Choose the HD55S when the water can flow downhill. If the drain line must rise, the HDi65S covers the same rated area and adds a built-in pump.

Setup and care

  • Connect a drain hose to a drain or sump below the unit, and keep the hose routed downhill.
  • Set your target humidity on the unit. Automatic defrost supports operation in cooler spaces.
  • Keep the air intake clear and check the MERV-1 filter regularly. Follow the manual for cleaning or replacement.
