The T600 DLX filter system

• TarBarrier prefilter — a specialized tar-trapping prefilter that shields the deeper filters from sticky tobacco and cigar residue. Replace regularly.
• Deluxe V-Blend carbon filter — Airpura's deep-bed coconut-shell V-Blend carbon (3") for heavy smoke odors, chemicals, and gases. Typically lasts 2–4 years depending on use.
• HepaBarrier filter — a carbon-cloth HEPA stage that captures fine smoke particles while adding extra gas filtration. A reusable frame holds the replaceable filter.

A note on buying ahead: activated carbon slowly adsorbs odors and chemicals from the air around it even while sealed in storage — this applies to the carbon filter and to the carbon-cloth HepaBarrier. Order those when you're ready to install them rather than keeping spares on the shelf for years, since carbon that has sat a long time won't have its full capacity left. TarBarrier prefilters aren't affected and are fine to keep on hand.
