Airpura I700 Air Purifier (HEPA Allergy & Particle Relief, Upgraded)
on high
@ 0.3 microns
(up to)
on low
The Airpura I700 HEPA Air Purifier is the top of Airpura's HEPA-focused I-series — an upgraded I600 with a more powerful motor for stronger air circulation across large rooms.
It's built to continuously pull airborne allergens and fine particles out of the air — pollen, dust, pet dander, mold spores, and smoke particles — using the same sealed, metal-capped True HEPA filter and pressure-seal chamber that force air through the media instead of leaking around it.
Originally designed for healthcare clinics and institutions, the I700 adds two things over the I600: more airflow, and the ability to fit an optional Hi-C carbon filter for light odors and VOCs. There's also an optional UV germicidal upgrade for spaces where sanitation is a higher priority.
More power, same all-metal build, still comfortable to run around the clock on low.
How the I700 Compares: I600 vs I700
The I-series is Airpura's HEPA-focused line — particle and allergen filtration first. Both units cover the same room size with the same sealed, metal-capped True HEPA design, all-metal build, no-ozone operation, and the same optional UV upgrade. The I700 sits at the top of the series: more airflow, plus the option to fit a carbon filter the I600 can't take.

The I700 is the one to get if you want the most airflow in the I-series and the option to add carbon for light odors down the road.
The I600 covers the same room size for less — a smart pick if you only need HEPA particle filtration and don't want the carbon option.
Serious about odors, smoke smell, or chemical fumes? The I700's Hi-C carbon is a light-duty add-on. For real odor and chemical removal, the Airpura R600 ships with 18 lb of activated carbon as standard, and the C600 DLX carries a very large carbon bed for heavy chemical & VOC exposure.
Coverage is Airpura's rating, based on a complete air exchange roughly every 30 minutes.
Is the Airpura I700 Right for You?
The Airpura I700 is designed for people who want maximum airflow for airborne allergens and fine particles in a large space — with room to add light odor control later.
It works especially well if you:
✔ Want more airflow than the I600 for a large or open room
✔ Struggle with seasonal allergies, dust, or pet dander in the air
✔ Need strong particle capture for smoke particles, including wildfire smoke
✔ Are concerned about mold spores circulating indoors
✔ May want to add light odor / VOC control with an optional carbon filter
Great fit for:
✔ Large bedrooms & open-concept living areas
✔ Homes with pets
✔ Clinics & wellness environments
✔ Anywhere you want the most air turnover the I-series offers
What the Airpura I700 Removes
True HEPA Particle Filtration (99.97% @ 0.3 Microns)
- Pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds
- Dust and everyday household particles
- Pet dander from cats and dogs
- Mold spores
- Smoke particles
- Airborne droplets
The I700 carries over 100 sq ft of True HEPA media in a 3-inch-deep, warm-rolled filter with close-ended metal caps — built to capture microscopic particles down to 0.3 microns without letting air bypass the filter.
Light Odors & VOCs (with Optional Hi-C Carbon)
Fit the optional Hi-C carbon weave and the I700 can also help reduce light odors, VOCs, and airborne chemicals. It's a light-duty carbon layer — for heavy or persistent odor and chemical loads, a purpose-built carbon unit like the R600 or C600 DLX is the better tool.
Key Design Features
Upgraded High-Performance Motor
Delivers stronger airflow than the I600 for faster, more consistent air circulation in large rooms.
Sealed, Metal-Capped True HEPA Filter
Close-ended metal caps and Airpura's pressure seal ensure incoming air passes fully through the HEPA media instead of leaking around it.
360° Air Intake
The perforated steel housing draws air evenly from all sides of the room for balanced circulation.
Backward-Curved Motorized Impeller
Reduces the vibration and noise associated with older motor-and-shaft designs.
Variable-Speed Motor
Dial airflow from quiet, continuous background filtration up to maximum cleaning when you need it.
All-Metal Housing with Felt Gaskets
Powder-coated steel with felt (not rubber) gaskets — no plastic or rubber off-gassing, plus long-term durability.
Configuring Your I700: Carbon & UV Options
Optional Hi-C Carbon Filter
Unlike the HEPA-only I600, the I700's filter chamber can accept an optional Hi-C carbon weave that adsorbs light odors, VOCs, and airborne chemicals — a roughly 2-year filter. It's an add-on rather than a built-in layer; if you'd like your I700 set up with carbon, get in touch and we'll help you source it. For heavier odor or chemical needs, the R- and C-series are purpose-built with far larger carbon beds.
With UV or Without UV?
Every I700 is, first and foremost, a True HEPA particle purifier. The UV option adds a second layer of air treatment on top of filtration.
- Without UV (standard): True HEPA filtration only — the right choice for most homes dealing with allergies, pets, and dust.
- With UV: adds a 20-watt UV germicidal lamp that targets the DNA of microorganisms, paired with a TitanClean™ titanium-dioxide (TiO₂) coating to help break down certain airborne chemicals and microorganisms.
Choose the UV version for medical or wellness clinics, spaces where air sanitation is a higher priority, or households that want an added layer of protection beyond particle capture.
Maintenance & Filter Life
Airpura builds for long operating cycles with simple upkeep. Typical replacement schedule:
- Prefilter: vacuum through the grille monthly; replace approximately every 12 months
- HEPA filter: replace approximately every 3–5 years, depending on use
- Optional Hi-C carbon (if fitted): replace approximately every 2 years
If you choose the UV option, the germicidal lamp is a periodic-replacement item — check the User Manual or reach out and we'll confirm the schedule for your unit.
Running the purifier continuously at a lower speed is typically the most efficient way to maintain clean air. Energy use runs about 40 watts on low and 120 watts on high — roughly a standard household light bulb.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I get the I700 or the I600?
They cover the same room size (up to ~2,000 sq ft) with identical True HEPA filtration and the same optional UV upgrade. Go with the I700 for more airflow (635 CFM vs 560) and the option to fit a carbon filter later. The I600 is the smart pick if you only need HEPA particle filtration and want to save about $150.
Do I need the UV option?
For most homes, no — the standard I700's True HEPA filter already captures 99.97% of airborne particles, which is what allergy and dust sufferers are usually after. Add the UV germicidal lamp if reducing airborne germs and pathogens is a priority: it's most relevant for clinics, wellness spaces, or households that want an extra layer of air sanitation. The UV works alongside a TitanClean™ coating to help break down certain microorganisms and airborne chemicals.
Can the I700 remove odors and chemicals?
With the optional Hi-C carbon filter fitted, the I700 can help with light odors, VOCs, and airborne chemicals — carbon is what adsorbs gases, and the standard HEPA config doesn't include it. For real odor and chemical control, a purpose-built carbon unit is the better choice: the R600 comes with 18 lb of carbon as standard, and the C600 DLX is built for heavy chemical exposure. How much are replacement filters, and where do I get them?
Genuine I700 replacement filters are available right here at Pure Indoor Living, starting at $69.98. Because the prefilter and HEPA replace independently — and on very different schedules — you only buy the filter that's actually due.
Is it quiet enough to run all day?
Yes. On low, the I700 measures about 30.2 dB — close to a quiet library — so it's comfortable running around the clock. Even with the upgraded motor, low speed stays whisper-quiet; the high setting moves the most air (635 CFM) and is more audible, so many people run low overnight and step it up during the day.
Does the I700 produce ozone?
No. The I700 cleans air through mechanical True HEPA filtration — there's no ionizer and no ozone-generating cleaning method. The optional UV upgrade is an enclosed germicidal lamp used with the TitanClean™ coating, not an ionizer.
Does the I700 arrive assembled?
Yes. The I700 ships as a single assembled unit on lockable casters — no tools or assembly required. Unpack it, plug it in, and choose your speed. Airpura recommends running it on medium-to-high for the first 48 hours. See the User Manual for setup.
What does the warranty cover?
The I700 is backed by Airpura's 5-year parts and 10-year labor warranty — coverage that outlasts the first several sets of filters. The unit is also ETL certified to ANSI/UL 507.
Is this a medical device?
No. The Airpura I700 is a residential and commercial air purifier for general indoor air quality. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
